About La Feirinha
La Feirinha is Puerto Iguazú's best-known market and has been running for more than twenty years on Avenida Brasil, right downtown. Its roughly 70 stalls serve snack platters of cheese, olives, ham and cured meats, and sell wine, liqueurs, oils, dulce de leche and alfajores, among other things. Being so close to the border, it gets plenty of Brazilian visitors every day, along with travelers from everywhere else.
In December 2022 the stretch of Avenida Brasil in front of the market reopened after a makeover, with wider sidewalks, new lighting, pergolas and paving stones, so it's a more comfortable walk now. It's a good spot for a casual dinner, edible souvenirs, or just sitting a while and watching the town go by. Walk past several stalls before choosing and ask prices, since the offer looks similar but isn't the same everywhere.
Local tip
Check out several stalls before sitting down: comparing helps you find the platter and prices that suit you best.
