Day trips
Sunset at the Falls: the park after closing time
In short
Official guided walk at sundown, after the park closes to the public, with a train ride, a regional snack and small groups. Dates vary.
Before you book
- Devil's Throat has been closed since 3 Aug 2026 because of the flood, with no reopening date.
- The activity depends on the weather and can be cancelled at short notice.
What it's like
This is Iguazú Argentina's official experience for seeing the falls in the golden light at the end of the day, once the park has closed to other visitors. It includes a guided walk in Spanish and English, a ride on the Ecological Jungle Train and a regional afternoon snack. Places are limited and dates and times change, so check the official calendar.
In the 2025 editions the outing ended at the Devil's Throat balcony and lasted almost three hours: in June it ran from 4:00 to 6:50 pm and in November from 5:15 to 8:05 pm, with hot drinks, cold drinks and regional food. That circuit has been closed since 3 August 2026 because of the river flood, with no reopening date. The official page currently does not say which viewpoint the walk goes to and does not list specific dates, so ask about both before paying.
The honest downside: it costs a lot more than general admission, which is not included. On a cloudy day the sunset may not show. And while Devil's Throat remains closed, the experience loses its most dramatic setting.

Tips
- Before paying, ask which viewpoint the walk reaches while Devil's Throat stays closed.
- If you want to explore the park by day, buy general admission separately: it is not included.
- Check the forecast: with overcast skies the sunset loses much of its appeal.
